great holiday location
we found our stay was made even more enjoyable by the welcoming staff. we have a great room overlooking the water and the proximity of the beach was a real plus point. short distance to "the gap" meant we had everything on our doorstep. would definitely stay there agai
Stayed here both pre and post cruise for a total of 7 nights. As many have said this is a fantastic hotel with great facilities and pools etc. Brilliant breakfast, lunch and dinners with many happy hours, special events etc. Again as reported on TA the staff and management cannot be faulted and will always go the extra mile with a smile. The construction work is starting at a pace now, there is a drilling rigg and walls are starting to go up. As the building starts to rise it will be visible from the beach and pool area, however so far it does not intrude. Ask for sea view rooms to the left as you look out to sea, however I would'nt let this put you off from booking Oceans two
Excellent place to stay, great location, service is very quick and staff will do anything for you, food is very good, great beach and pool, our 2 bedroom suite was outstanding, I don't think there could be a view better than we had, 1st class place
We stayed for 6 days. The resort is relatively small, very well kept, and in a great location. Two small swimming pools, one with a swim-up bar. Decent open air restaurant. Food and beverage prices were typically high. It is a resort on an island, after all.
Our room on the second floor faced the ocean to the south. Great view from our balcony and we enjoyed sunset happy hour at the small table. Nice. Full kitchen with new appliances. Didn't cook... it was a vacation.
Buffet breakfast was excellent and included. Loved the omelets and croissants. Good coffee. They put on a themed dinner most nights. We tried the breadfruit and toppings. We had lamb stew and shrimp plus lobster. It was prepared from a half roasted breadfruit with the topping of choice ladled on/in the bowl made by the breadfruit. Interesting. Another night was pizza and pasta. We shared a pizza. Good, not great. To be fair we are very particular about pizza. (Isn't everyone?) Three, yes three happy hours per day. They were at 11 to noon, 4pm to 5 pm and lastly at 9 pm to 10 pm. Unlike some other locations, "happy hour" lasts one hour.
There is a small surfing area a hundred meters down from the resort. At sunset, the tiny frogs start their "gleep gleep" chorus.
Spent a LOT of time relaxing on the beach. Plenty of loungers and umbrellas. Staff came by to offer drinks, cooling sprays, and " ice lollies" - frozen fruit bars.
Special thanks to Damian for sculpting a sea turtle in the sand and his great, happy energy. He exuded pure joy!
If you are a beer drinker, be prepared for Banks lager or well, some other lager. A couple stouts in bottles. Couldn't find an IPA if your life depended on it
